This session will examine the sqlReports customization created by Dean Dahlvang and available freely for PowerSchool. The customization adds a new tab to the reports page and allows the report creator to utilize SQL to search for multiple database tables to gather info for users. The topics will include downloading and installing the customization, creating and editing reports, and publishing the reports for the end users. Importing and exporting report templates will also be discussed.

In this session, attendees will see how administrators in my district use these tools to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in our data.

Title : The Marriage of Excel and State Reporting See how macros are created in excel and how they can be automated to work with your state report text file straight from PowerSchool. The excel formatted column headers and filters allow you to open your text file in a spreadsheet view and go on to assess the validity of your state reported data. The excel spreadsheet allows you isolate the data you need to correct in PowerSchool, filter out groups of students and advise program areas of the data that is being reported on the students participating in their particular program. Learn how other systems use this spreadsheet to obtain corrected data from program areas to give back to data entry personnel for corrections.
